Salukis: 4 need homes

These four salukis are arriving on March 29 from Qatar. Please contact Dogwood Rescue at 604-926-1842 or write to if you’re interested in adopting one or more of these lovely creatures. Please use their name to specify which dog you’re interested in.

Kara is a very easy and gentle girl, who likes all people and pets. She has a good recall and would make a great family dog. She can be placed with other dogs and cats.

Amber comes from the industrial area of Doha/Qatar. While she was there, Amber was fed and loved by construction workers. She is now looking for a place to call home. Amber loves to sleep and hang out with her owner. She is not demanding of lots of exercise, but would still need a few walks per day. She prefers to be the only dog in the house. Amber is very affectionate and loving, she gets very deeply attached. Walking on the streets of Qatar, Amber ignored passing dogs. She is not tested around cats.

2 years old; up to date vaccinations; 56 cm shoulder height

Camilla is a gentle and loving girl, she loves all people, she likes gentle children; Camilla loves to run and dig. Her recall needs to be improved; she is eager to learn and please. She is very calm and well behaved indoors. Camilla ignores cats on the street and likes to meet other dogs.

She is missing one ear and has an old injury on her front leg. Camilla has a slight limp, which is not slowing her down.

Nemo was found abounded as a tiny pup with his brother in Qatar. He was nurtured to health and is now ready to go to a loving home. He is a very active and playful puppy. He is obedient, smart, a fast learner and very loving to people. He is gentle and very social with other dogs, good with cats. No small children please.
